The specialized bike has better slightly bike parts and the biggest difference is the fork. For the money, Trek have put together a high-end carbon package for a fairly reasonable price and that should bode well for many riders, especially racers on a budget. Let’s have a look at how much Trek and Specialized bikes cost starting with the entry-level bikes around 700. It handles as if it's ready to go uphill and down with no regard for anything except stopping to get on the podium. The most obvious similarity is the signature mid-stay chainstay layout designed to place the driveside stay over the chain to allow a shorter chainstay length. Geometry-wise, the Procaliber isn't exactly pushing boundaries, but keep in mind that it's built for XC racing and it's right in line with what an XC race bike should be. While the look and overall design of the new 2018 Trek 1120 shares many of the same characteristics as the Trek Stache, its geometry is quite different. Fatigue by no means disappears - it's still a hardtail - but it doesn't build as quickly, which allows for more comfort on longer rides, and less soreness the day after. The 27.5 plus setup tends to cater to my riding style a bit better, as it definitely more playful. I've ridden the Procaliber on a variety of terrain, and there's no doubt that the bike is efficient, and the power that's put down goes straight to the wheels. Trek went out of their way to make sure that the new 2016 Stache retained all the features about the previous generation Stache that people were stoked on, that being the bigger travel on the front end (110mm) and the super short chainstays. There’s a lot to cover, so we’re going to dive right in, and share all of the B+ hottness……or do you say 27.The Procaliber was built to be an XC race bike, made to go fast and to win races. Tight back end, light weight, monster truck roll-ability, loves to jump. But somehow, Trek have churned out the Stache and changed the minds of everyone that’s ridden one.
