The specialized bike has better slightly bike parts and the biggest difference is the fork. Specialized entry-level mountain bike costs (29) 710, Treks entry-level MTB is 760, slightly more expensive. For the money, Trek have put together a high-end carbon package for a fairly reasonable price and that should bode well for many riders, especially racers on a budget. Let’s have a look at how much Trek and Specialized bikes cost starting with the entry-level bikes around 700. It handles as if it's ready to go uphill and down with no regard for anything except stopping to get on the podium. The most obvious similarity is the signature mid-stay chainstay layout designed to place the driveside stay over the chain to allow a shorter chainstay length. Geometry-wise, the Procaliber isn't exactly pushing boundaries, but keep in mind that it's built for XC racing and it's right in line with what an XC race bike should be. While the look and overall design of the new 2018 Trek 1120 shares many of the same characteristics as the Trek Stache, its geometry is quite different. Fatigue by no means disappears - it's still a hardtail - but it doesn't build as quickly, which allows for more comfort on longer rides, and less soreness the day after. It's noticeable right away, and even more so after being out on the bike for a couple of hours. Plus tyres split the difference between fully fat and your regular MTB widths. The Roscoe, for the price, is also hard to beat. That quick release back end has been replaced with a 12 x 148mm thru axle, and, not surprisingly, the geometry is substantially longer and slacker. In the meantime we’ve also seen a whole new breed of mountain bike appearthe ‘plus bike’. With that being said, the Stache 29 plus is WAY more playful than ever expected, ESPECIALLY when you slide the Stranglehold dropout forward that 15mm. Then they mixed in the one thing that makes the Stache a real head turner, crazy wide 29er, 3 inch wide. The 27.5 plus setup tends to cater to my riding style a bit better, as it definitely more playful. I've ridden the Procaliber on a variety of terrain, and there's no doubt that the bike is efficient, and the power that's put down goes straight to the wheels. Trek went out of their way to make sure that the new 2016 Stache retained all the features about the previous generation Stache that people were stoked on, that being the bigger travel on the front end (110mm) and the super short chainstays. There’s a lot to cover, so we’re going to dive right in, and share all of the B+ hottness……or do you say 27.The Procaliber was built to be an XC race bike, made to go fast and to win races. Tight back end, light weight, monster truck roll-ability, loves to jump. But somehow, Trek have churned out the Stache and changed the minds of everyone that’s ridden one. We rated them on their fun agent ( worth 25 ), human body quality ( 15 ) and downhill, climbing and cornering skills ( 20 each ). On paper, a 29in Plus Size bike sounds like the absolute worst possible bike we can imagine. ![]() Sea Otter – Baby Fat or B+? The creators have also explored several different genres, from idol simulation to Musou-like crowd brawling. For example, the previous release Neptunia Virtual Stars included fictional and real-life Vtubers. The original videogame parody angle ran its course, but the folks at Compile Heart still managed to find new ways to personify and lampoon various aspects of Otaku culture. At the time this was a pretty funny premise, and that helped Neptunia catch on and become a series. What follows is a string of fairly dated videogame jokes strung together with some turn-based JRPG dungeon-crawling. Neptune is defeated thanks to the evil personification of game piracy (brilliantly localized as Arfoire), loses her memory and goes on wacky adventures with her new Friends Compa and IF. The first game’s premise is four goddesses fighting over control of a land called “Gamindustri.” Each goddess is a personification of all the major consoles at the time, along with… the Sega Neptune for some reason (Sega was part of the game’s distribution in Japan)? Neptunia has kind of always been a dopey series poking fun at itself and things like gamers and otaku culture. What makes a game stick around like this? Well, it seems complicated. In some form or another, this game has appeared on PS3, PC, PS Vita, PS4 and now the PS5. Neptunia ReVerse is a remake of a remake, the fifth overall release of Hyperdimension Neptunia, a comedy/JRPG from Compile Heart and Idea Factory from 2010. The weird thing is how many times the first game popped back up. She asked me, “Have we really been doing this for ten years?” I laughed at her realization, that yes, ever since I started my writing journey, Neptunia was around in some form or another. As I booted up Neptunia ReVerse and the 10th Anniversary logo faded onto the screen, my wife was shocked. ![]() ![]() Synthetic Cubism (1912-1914) Synthetic Cubism adds color to the hitherto monochrome Cubist trend. But the following year he had joined the trend towards collage by Picasso and Braque, incorporating various materials such as wood and upholstery into his paintings. See also Paradox - Concept, definition and examples of paradoxesīy 1911, however, the Madrid painter Juan Gris began to be interested in light, incorporating it into his cubist works in a naturalistic way. This caused the new style to receive much rejection from the traditionalist sectors of painting, at the same time as the enthusiasm of avant-garde artists and cultural personalities such as Guillaume Apollinaire and Gertrude Stein, who wrote critical pieces on the importance of cubism. This approach was such that in many cases the works became practically abstract, since the planes became unrecognizable and independent of the volume of the painted object. Analytical Cubism (1909-1912) Many works of Analytical Cubism became practically abstract.Īnalytical Cubism or Hermetic Cubism was the initial stage of the movement, whose paintings were almost all monochrome and gray, focused on point of view and not chromaticity. ![]() However, other artists recognized for their cubist work were the French Georges Braque (1882-1963), Jean Metzinger (1883-1956), Albert Gleizes (1881-1953) and Robert Delanay (1885-1945), and the Spanish Juan Gris (1887-1927) and María Blanchard (1881-1932). The greatest exponent of Cubism was the Spanish Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), who is assumed to be the founder of aesthetics and the first cultist of his style. The difficulty of interpreting certain cubist paintings, given their rupture with all forms of naturalness, made it necessary to accompany the work with an explanatory text or of a critical nature, a gesture that would later become common in avant-garde works of art. But unlike Impressionism and Fauvism, they are painted in muted colors: grays, greens, and browns, especially in their early days. See also Accounting objectives (general and specific objective)Ĭubist paintings, well, lack depth, offer multiple points of view (instead of a single one), and they suppress most of the details of the objects they represent, often reducing them to a single feature: violins, for example, are recognized only by their tails.Īt the same time, the genre of Cubism paintings could not be more conventional: still lifes, landscapes, portraits. In doing so, he revolutionized the precepts in force in painting since ancient times, which is why cubism is considered the first of the artistic avant-gardes. On the contrary, Cubism recognizes and embraces the two-dimensional nature of the canvas and renounces three-dimensionality, trying rather to represent in its paintings all possible points of view of an object, simultaneously. In this regard, the Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, considered the greatest exponent of the movement, would later affirm that “When we did cubism, we had no intention of doing cubism, but only to express what we had inside.” Characteristics of cubism Cubist paintings suppress most of the details in the objects they represent.ĭespite what its name might suggest, cubism does not consist of painting through cubes. The term “cubism” however It was not proposed by the painters themselves, but by the critic Louis Vauxcelles, the same one who at the time gave Fauvism its name, who after attending an exhibition by Georges Braque (French, 1882-1963) affirmed that his works “reduced the landscape and the human body to insipid cubes”, and then proceeded to talk about cubism.
