LHS NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY - 2022 INDUCTEESįorty-two Ludlow High School students who have exemplified academic excellence, leadership, fellowship, and service were inducted into the Ludlow High School Chapter of the National Honor Society during a ceremony held on March 23rd. The LHS band performed amazingly well and received a silver rating medal (following a rubric) for their performance. The LHS band performed three pieces with a difficulty rating of three (out of six) for a panel of judges from across the region. LHS Band Director Kevin McAvoy explained that the festival is held each year during the first weekend in April in multiple schools across the state of Massachusetts. The MICCA Concert Festival encourages the improvement of an ensemble's musical standards by providing musical adjudication by highly qualified adjudicators. This was the first time performing at the festival since 2019.Īccording to their website ( MICCA) is dedicated to the study and performance of instrumental and choral music in the public schools of Massachusetts. On Friday, April 1st, the Ludlow High School Band performed at the annual Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Concert Festival at Belchertown High School. BRAVO! YES!
